About Muse, the Rolls-Royce Art Programme

Muse, the Rolls-Royce Art Programme was created to foster and inspire creativity through collaboration with artists who share the same passion for pushing technical and conceptual boundaries.

Muse builds on past Rolls-Royce engagements with seminal figures in contemporary art. Among them – Angela Bulloch, Yang Fudong, Isaac Julien, Mohammed Kazeem, Tomas Saraceno and Refik Anadol.

Rolls-Royce has a long-standing relationship with Refik Anadol, who created Art of Perfection: Data Painting exclusively for Muse, the Rolls-Royce Art Programme back in 2020.

Presented on a LED canvas, the artwork uses data sets derived from every car paint colour developed at Goodwood over the previous 10 years. The artwork is on permanent display at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex.

However, you can see Refik Anadol’s latest works Echoes of the Earth: Living Archive at London’s Serpentine Gallery, proudly supported by Rolls-Royce.

Echoes of the Earth: Living Archive utilises the power of AI to create immersive experiences that celebrate the natural world and challenge our relationship with technology.

Created using billions of data from sources like the Smithsonian Institute, National Geographic and London’s Natural History Museum, the centrepiece of the exhibition, Living Archive: Large Nature Model, completely envelops the gallery walls with a continuously evolving tapestry of flora, fauna, and fungi.

Another highlight is Artificial Realities: Coral, a captivating audio-visual experience that brings the vibrant underwater world of coral reefs to life. The immersive soundscape and mesmerising visuals transport you to the heart of this fragile ecosystem, highlighting its vital role in our planet’s health.

Like Refik Anadol’s works, inspiring greatness lies at the very heart of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ brand ethos. From hand-building the epitome of true luxury, to engaging and servicing the needs of discerning clients all over the world, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars inspires greatness, every step of the way.
