EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT
Martin Creed’s new exhibition at Camden Arts Project, curated by @halamatarofficial, presents a thoughtful exploration of comfort, vulnerability, and the ephemeral nature of reassurance. Anchored by two of his most iconic works — the glowing neon phrase ‘Everything is going to be alright’ and the immersive balloon installation ‘Half the Air in a Given Space’. This exhibition invites us to embrace simplicity, playfulness, and emotional honesty.
In a world that often feels uncertain, Creed’s art becomes a gentle reminder of the strength found in joy, the beauty of connection, and the quiet comfort of being present.
My first Half the Air in a Given Space experience was nearly ten years ago at the Park Avenue Armory and this (white version) brought back so many joyful memories. I’m grateful I could re-experience it with my children and in the presence of the artist himself.
Thank you, @martin_creed, for being so warm and engaging with the little ones, and to the @camdenarts176 team for your kindness and conversations. I’ll be back!
